Sunday 31 July saw the Harriers out in force at Stoke Gabriel Football club, for the annual 10k(ish) carnival race. The solid turn-out was probably due in part to the free cider and bacon roll at the finish line
This annual event is a challenging course taking in a route along the river bank at Stoke Gabriel (luckily the tide was out this year), with challenging climbs rocky terrain and the now now infamous "Hay Roll Hill of Hell". Billed as a 10K(ish) the route has a value added 20% extra distance, which made the finishers cider extra thirst quenching.
