The air was filled with a jingling of medals at this weeks club run with 5 harriers putting in epic performances at the weekend.
London Marathon
Susan and Nikki were both flying the harriers flag at the iconic London Marathon which has over 40,000 participants. The many months of training paid off, the pair put in amazing performances with finish times of 3:58 and 4:50 respectively. The most observant of you may notice Susan is sporting two medals, having also competed in the "good for age" championship and beating many of her younger rivals... Well done both, next years event is back to the usual April date, and training starts soon for anyone lucky enough to secure a place.
Cardiff Half Marathon
Meanwhile Sarah and David were at the Cardiff half marathon, an event which has grown considerably over the years and now attracts both UK and international runners ,with over 27,500 people participating. David ran this race six years ago, and this year knocked 4 minutes off his previous time, very impressive for a VM60 runner!
Here's Sarah with her finishers medal, looking very fresh!
Exeter Arena 3k Track Race
Finally in a change from the usual road and trial running events, Simon turned his hand (... or should that be foot?) to a track event at Exeter arena, running 3000m in 12:49 and taking 3rd place in his race- well done Simon.
