Two Harriers celebrated significant milestones at Torbay parkrun this month, read about their achievements below and if you feel inspired to take up running come and join us in the new year!
David notched up his 100th parkrun last week at Torbay in an amazing time of 21:39, just a whisker off his Personal Best time of 21:29 which he achieved in July this year, both these times being faster than any run at Torbay, going back over 5 years. David Runs in the VM65-69 Age category and these amazing achievements really do go to show that age is no barrier in the wonderful sport of running.

Meanwhile Susan clocked-up her 300th Parkrun this week at Torbay, having done her very first parkrun 10 years ago this week and is definitely a parkrun fanatic! To date she has completed 58 different park runs in 8 different countries (Germany,Sweden, Poland, Russia, Italy, New Zealand, America and the UK).
When away from Home Susan has been known to go to extra-ordinary lengths to get her Parkrun fix. For example she once once hired a car in Rostock in Germany and drove 165 miles to Szczecin in Poland, (....very nearly missing the parkrun as it was hidden in a wood) and a few years ago she also ran the St Petersburg Parkrun having sailed all the way to Russia.
